It’s been a while since I posted a proper newsletter. I think what made me stop was the pressure to consume. To create cOnTeNt. And I started hating things I loved. I stopped reading. Specially reading articles. Because I was only doing it to farm quotes. So I have changed the format a little and changed the schedule to be bi-weekly.
Lets just jump into it.
💡Something I learned
Love is Mundane
I recently watched another cheesy Bollywood romantic movie. The music was great, but it had the same problem that all romantic movies have; it depicts Grand Sacrifice™ as a way to depict True Love©. But love is not about leaping tall buildings. It is about showing up. Not just romantic love.
If you are wonder how to be a good child, or sibling, or parent, or friend, just show up. Call your loved ones out of the blue. Show up when they need you to. Even when the want you to. Real love is boring. It is washing dishes. And that’s the best thing about it.
✍🏼 Somethings I made
I have written two blog posts recently.
- iPad Window Management: Apple just released a new update to iPad that allows you to use just like a laptop. I write about how it will not save the iPad.
- You owe the world something: I write about how “I don’t owe the world anything” is a self-defeating idea. I know, I know, a very Hot Take™.

🛠️ Somethings to Use
I have recently been organizing my life to be more structured. That requires two things; creating a list of tasks and blocking time out to achieve those tasks. Two apps have been very helpful in that regard.
- Calendar App: Whatever is the default calendar app on your phone/laptop. I use Google Calendar, but you can use whatever app that comes with your device. Apple Calendar, Outlook, Samsung Calendar, etc. The great part is that you can sync between apps without issue. For Example, I sync my Google Calendar to the Apple Calendar on my Laptop.
- Todo List app: Again, the default one that comes with your phone would be perfect. I use Google Tasks, but you can use Apple Reminders, Microsoft Todo, Todoist, etc. You can also use the check list feature in your preferred note taking app.
📺 Somethings to watch
One Battle After Another(2025)
I can’t believe arthouse darling Paul Thomas Anderson made a crowd pleasing action comedy. My review on letterboxd
I have only ever watched one PTA movie before; Inherent Vice. And I liked it well enough, but it is not very normie friendly.
This one is a crowd pleaser. A fantastic action comedy, even though many would not like that classification. It is also a very good political satire. I found Sean Penn’s clear Vince McMahon pantomime performance very distracting, but even that is earned by the end.
For those not in the know, Vince McMahon is the former owner of the wrestling franchise WWE. Also a Grade-A Wierdo who walks like this:
